LakeTahoe Beach

Beaches - Tahoe offers plenty of beaches on its lakeside with each beach varying in characteristic depending on what part of the lake it is located. Beaches southwest of the lake are genreally very large and sandy. East of the lake can be found nice granite enclosed coves. On the west you’ll find some of the clearest waters and on the north can be found beaches that are very near communities.

• Baldwin Beach - southwest
• Camp Richardson -southwest
• DL Bliss - west
• Kings Beach - northwest
• Kiva Beach - southwest
• Meeks Bay - west
• Nevada Beach - southeast
• Pope Beach - southwest
• Round Hill Pines - southeast
• Sand Harbor - northeast
• Secret Harbor - east
• Tahoe City Commons - west
• Zephyr Cove - east

Hiking Trails - If you want to visit a beautiful place and get some good old exercise while you’re at it you can choose from several hiking trails to stretch out your legs. Note though that some trails are of course more difficult than others although they are all equally accompanied with beautiful scenery and fresh air.

• Angora Lakes - Great for family trips.
• Eagle Falls - Permit required.
• East Shore Beaches - An easy walk for anyone.
• Emerald Bay - Steep and strenous trails but offers one of the best views around.
• Grass Lake - Easy trek and with plenty of creeks and waterfalls to boot.
• Jobs Peak, Freel Peak , and Jobs Sister - Not for beginners. A hard clinb to the three peaks. freel Peak is the highest peak in Lake Tahoe.
• Mount Rose - Easy but long path. Very scenic view.
• Mt Tallac - Hard, rocky, but very much worth it climb.
• Taylor Creek - With a great visitor center. Best for family trips.
